Conservation and Preservation of Library Documents

Conservation has two aspects: preservation and restoration. Both of them are complimentary to each other. Preservation is a wider perspective and includes such activities as storage, handling, disinfecting etc. In a nutshell, preservation is any action taken to prevent or retard deterioration. Restoration is any surgical operation requiring repairing and strengthening of the documents. Under the process of restoration, library used only book binding process to strengthen its materials.

Pest Control: Library started pest control from time to time to prevent library document from further damage with the help of professionals (Pest Control Management Service) in regular way.
